Deburring

Effective deburring is a critical requirement in preparation for end use as well as for a precursor to other metal finishing processes. Industrial Metal Finishing utilizes state-of-the-art controlled velocity high-energy finishing machines which ensure efficient and effective deburring and surface preparation.

Deburring is generally not a core technology for manufacturers, so it is often more cost effective to engage the services of a qualified deburring vendor in order to ensure that part dimensions are maintained and desired surface finish is achieved.

Centrifugal Mass Finishing

Process Definition

A mechanical process used for surface conditioning metals and other materials by exposing the surface to a composition of honing media, liquid soap and water together in a chamber that is rotating in a manner to cause the honing media to remove sharp edges and surface contamination.

Benefits

  • Utilizes batch processing, thus economical
  • Semi automatic process, thus quick turnaround
  • Ability to achieve consistent results
  • Environmentally friendly process

Precision Deburring

Process Definition

A manual process performed by trained and highly skilled technicians on parts that require deburring only in specified areas and to close tolerances.

Benefits

  • Exclusively addresses the area specified without affecting adjoining surface finishes
  • Not limited by the geometry of the part
